Will Keith & Kristyn Getty Disinvite John MacArthur & Bob Kauflin from the Sing! Worship Conference Given History of Serial Lying & the Cover Up of Sexual Abuse?

In July 2019 I was stunned to see Keith and Kristyn Getty invite John MacArthur as a speaker to their mega Sing! Worship Conference in Nashville.  I did everything possible to dissuade them.  It was all to no avail.

At first I put out four general tweets highlighting the main issues with MacArthur.

[MacArthur] Claimed he was a collegiate All-American in football and was also recruited by the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns to play in NFL but turned them down. Both lies. You can read about in the article about Martin Luther King hoax.

It made no difference.  I put out this tweet two weeks before the Sing! Conference began.  MacArthur was still listed as a speaker.

The Getty’s like others have shown “no integrity” with regard to John MacArthur.  Three years later, he is still scheduled to speak at their September 4-7, 2022 conference.  No one operating on the basis of biblical ethics would ever invite him to be a speaker at their church or conference.  It is hard to overstate his hypocrisy and corruption. 

The Roys’ Report recently documented MacArthur’s’ heinous conduct in the wrongful excommunication of Eileen Gray and outrageous defense of her physically and sexually abusive husband, David, who is serving 21 years in prison for his crimes against their children.

The Roys’ Report also pointed out MacArthur was slotted to speak at the 2022 Ligonier National Conference this week (Mar. 24-26) in Orlando.  Ligonier said he pulled out of it last week because of illness.

Ligonier Ministries should never have invited John MacArthur.  They know the truth about him.  Here is the list of speakers for the event.

I have sent these men all my articles on John MacArthur and Phil Johnson over the past four years.  It doesn’t matter.  They have no interest in applying their teaching.  The conference title this year is “Upholding Christian Ethics.”  Right!  Except in the case of fellow leaders like MacArthur.  This has been a pattern with Ligonier Ministries.  

A year ago, MacArthur spoke on the holiness of God at their national conference.  I tweeted out the obvious.

It is reprehensible that a ministry known for its teaching on the holiness of God invited a man to speak on the subject who has lived an unholy life in so many serious respects. 

The Getty’s have also invited Bob Kauflin from Sovereign Grace Music as a speaker.  Bob was once a close friend but he closed circle around C.J. Mahaney and decided to cover all manner of evil. 

Kauflin is resuming his WorshipGod conference in July.  Here’s who coming. 

• CityAlight – a worship group from Australia
• Mark Jones – the minister at Faith Vancouver Presbyterian Church, Canada
• Adam Wright – minister of music at Cahaba Park Church, Birmingham, AL
• Matt Merker – worship leader for Together for the Gospel
• Josh Scott – founder of JHS Pedals
• Ben Shive – song writer & producer 

Too many worship leaders are like too many Bible preachers.  The latter don’t practice what they preach.  The former don’t practice what they sing.  

John MacArthur should not be preaching and Bob Kauflin should not be singing at the Sing! Worship Conference.  I hope the Getty’s disinvite both of them for the glory and honor of God.  That is worship in Spirit and truth.
